When I first started studying at MSU, I was working towards my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After one semester on that path I realized there were elements missing in my academic life that I wanted to include during my four years as an undergrad. The Residential College in the Arts and Humanities was where I ended up - I couldn’t be more thankful that I stumbled upon this program and res. college. My professors, advisor, and Dean (Dean Esquith) have been so influential on my life and overall MSU experience.
Yesterday I was in my last class ever, Screenprinting, and I had to walk over to Kresge Art Center to buy art supplies. I was reminded of my first class in college - Drawing I. I remember buying art supplies in the same store for a class and how old and mature I felt as I gathered materials for my college art classes. I think it was appropriate and very ironic that I had to purchase my last pieces of paper from there for my final art project. It’s funny how it all comes full circle.
Next week - exams. A week from today and right now I will be an MSU College Graduate. It’s insane how quickly this experience went. Loved it all. Wouldn’t change anything about this ride.
